Red-billed Blue Magpie just returned early from a trip to Nam Nao NP heavy rain and thunder stopped play. This bird was very friendly before the heavens opened. Down here, back home, it's sunny and hot.

Javan pond heron in its elegant breeding plumage. It allowed me close to take this one and he was undisturbed catching prey in the lake. Nice time of year to look at herons, love the light colour and contrast of this species. @Avibase @orientbirdclub #birdwatching #birds
